- The VA Network Contracting Activity, Long Beach, California intends to negotiate a firm fix price contract. This requirement is being set-aside for small business. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation to negotiate a firm fix price contract. The Request for Quote (RFQ) VA -262-10-RQ-0423 entitled "Non-Spec. 1 inch minus Crushed Rock and Birdseye # 5 fill Rock" is hereby issued for commercial items and is prepared in accordance with the format Subpart 12.6 as supplemented by additional information included in this notice and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-43. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 212319 and the related size standard is 500 employees. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued. A separate written solicitation document will not be issued. Contractor shall be required to deliver on an "as need basis" up to 600 tons "Non Spec. 1 inch minus Crushed Rock" or Birdeyes # 5 filled Rock per request for the base period. Deliveries must be in truck-transfer loads. The one year period is from September 15, 2010_ through September 14, 2011. The requirement is for approximately 2500 tons of "Non Spec. 1 inch minus Crushed Rock" and approximately 4000 tons of Birdseye #5 Fill Rock. The VA Riverside National Cemetery. The contractor shall provide FOB pricing. The VA Riverside National Cemetery reserves the right to adjust up or down the amount of tons delivered. The deliveries shall be made at the VA Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Venders wishing to respond to this RFQ should provide this office with a price quote on company letterhead for the requested items showing unit price of the rock.
