- RECOVERY - This procurement will be firm-fixed price and is funded in whole by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act [ARRA] of 2009 and is subject to the reporting requirements of the Act. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR Part 13.5 as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a request for quotation. Submit offers on RML-RFQ-10025. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43 Correction dated 7/23/10, and 2005-44 dated 7/2/10. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 and the size standard is 500 employees. The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Rocky Mountain Laboratories [RML], has a requirement for a variety of laboratory supplies to conduct research on the Novel Influenza A Virus (H1N1) of swine origin. Following is a list of required supplies. This solicitation may result in multiple awards; therefore vendors are encouraged to submit offers on all or part of the list. Award(s) will be based on: 1) the capability of the item offered to meet the stated salient characteristics; 2) warranty; and 3) price and/or the best value to the government. Warranty information to include period and coverage, shall be stated. In the case where an exact make or model is specified, a "brand name or equal" product may be offered. Substitutions of "or equal" products must provide sufficient information to demonstrate the capability of the item offered to match the specifications of the product listed.
