Description
Question #1: Please confirm that the offeror should price a solution that provides for CCTV coverage of the armory access door in the administration building and CCTV surveillance of the entire base with no government pre-determined number of cameras to provide said surveillance. Answer #1: Contractor is to design and build. There is no set number of cameras, number of cameras is to be determined by total coverage of the base, including indoor armory. Question #2: Please confirm that the government's statement "Contractors are not to use any Installed Coast Guard Infrastructure" is not meant to prohibit the contractor from utilizing existing conduit, if room is available. Our understanding of the intent of this statement is that it is meant to prohibit contractors from piggybacking on existing network infrastructure such as fiber connections. Answer #2: That is correct. Contractors are prohibited from using CG fiber connections. Contractors are allowed to use existing conduit if room is available. Question #3: What are the expected date of award and the period of performance? Answer #3: Solicitation deadline is September 15 at 3:30pm PST. Award will follow in the next 5 business days after all quotes/bids have been reviewed. Question #4: Paragraph 1 of the SOW states, in part, "In addition to the above, the contractor must provide the following licenses". However, no licenses are referenced. Can you clarify if any specific licenses are required? Answer #4:The statement refers to Section G-2 of the solicitation package, which states " The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, giving all notice and complyig with any applicable federal, state, local and municipal laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations in connection with the business carried on under on under this contract". Question #5: Must the color of the above-ground conduit match the color of the building? Answer #5: Color does not have to match color of building. Question #6: Regarding SOW paragraph 3.01 E, does the government require usage of more corrosive-resistant conduit such as PVC coated rigged due to location of this conduit run? Answer #6: Due to location, PVC coated rigid is preferred. Question #7 In Section I, it states that written questions should arrive no later than Friday July 23rd 3:30PM. Is this correct? Answer #7: No, This is type error. Written questions should arrive no later than Wednsday September 8th, at 3:30pm PST.
