Description
W91247-10-T-0121 Questions and Answers for 4th POG, Fort Bragg, NC Question 1. Does the 2 large trailers EACH require 73 cubicle workstations and 5 Team Leader workstations? Ans: yes Question 2. Same question for the 2 Medium Trailers. Ans: There is only one medium and it gets 41 cubicle and 2 team leader as well as desks in the cages Question 3. Will a scale floor plan for each trailer be available? Ans: I don't have any and I am not sure if DPW real property has any or not. Question 4. What Manufacture is it, will Haworth Furniture work. Ans: Yes. Look at the manufacturing parts and number attached for equal Question 5. Do you have a Layout of the proposed installation? Ans: I don't currently have one Question 6. Do i need to be on GSA Schedule or is this like an open market bid. Ans: No, this is open market Question 7. On the additional documents there are parts numbers listed. Is there a particular brand/ source that are being requested? Ans: they are HON part numbers Question 8. No period of performance is mentioned for the installation of the new furniture, assembly, removal of old furniture? Ans: ASAP Question 9. Is this furniture to be discarded by the vendor or is there a specific place i.e, DRMO, Bragg Landfill, etc. that the vendor is expected to utilize? Ans: Anything removed needs to go to DRMO Question 10. In the solicitation it is stated the furniture is to be delivered and installed in the new buldings for 4th POG, but FOB Destination for delivery is listed as DPTM at Ft Bragg? Ans: Delivery is at 4th POG, the same place as the site visit Question 11. We are a small business registered in CCR, can we submit more than one bid on this proposal using different manufacturers for each bid? Ans: Yes Question 12. On the large jobs I have quoted in the past we were required to provide some type of drawings along with the statement of work. If nothing more than some power point layout. Ans: They should be able to get them from DPW Question 13. Also if we are not going to get some type of drawings will the closing date be extended so that we can do designs for each building? Ans: Closing date will not be extended, remain as August 31, 2010 due to closeness to end of fiscal year Question 14. On the site survey we were told that we are no longer removing furniture. But it is still on the last page of the statement of work. Also I don't see any changes on this are you sure this is the right one? The only difference I see is that you added a Bn Area Building. And that is not what we were told at the site survey. We were told that they are now going to keep a lot more furniture than originally thought so now the number of stations should be least. Ans: There is one office in the BN bldg that is being removed Question 15. Dear Mr. Agyapong, I could not make the site visit, I am getting ready for Surgery. Can I still submit a Bid for Solicitation # W91247-10-T-0121 and if I still can bid on this project, would you happen to have a drawing that you can e-mail me. Ans: Yes, but we still go by the solicitation which says failure to attend the site visit is on you if you win the contract, you cannot make any complain for the reason that you did not attend the site visit. Attached is the revised SOW. Thank you. Question 16. Mr. Agyapong, Do you know who the Manufacture is on the parts list description. On the updated SOW the number of Medium trailers has been reduced to one instead of two. But the number of stations are still the same has the old SOW. DO you want 41 cubicles in one trailer or should that number be cut in half. Or is there suppose to be two trailers and the 41 cubicles divided between the two trailers? Ans: There are 41 cubicles in the one medium Question 17. In the two large trailers with the 4 team rooms - Is the 12ft by 10ft section for lockers inside the 12ft by 22ft team room. Or is that area outside the team room? Ans: It is inside the team room. Question 18. On the work thru we were told that they are now keeping some of the stations- that before they were getting rid of - are 16 workstations in the same area where the 4 team rooms are going or where they going out front Ans: Not sure what you are asking but the only existing cubicles that are coming out were in the BN bldg in the S1 office. Everything else stays. Question 19. Did we see a large that the four team rooms are going in. Or is there another type building that we did not see? Or the Team Leader workstations there is not a description of the worksurfaces required. On the furniture list there is no indication for worksurfaces that would fit this size and the quantity required. Ans: The first building we walked thru was a large and the team rooms will be going in a large in the large open area where the wall lockers were. We walked thru a large first, a medium second and the last was the BN bldg. Question 20. Please clarify the size of the workstations required. Ans: It need to be sized to fit the area Question 21. Please clarify if these workstations will be in a group of 5 or scattered around the area in a freestanding manner not connected to any other workstations. Ans: Yes they are grouped Question 22. Please clarify if both the bbf and ff ped are mobile or if only the bbf is mobile Ans: I am not sure what is meant by the acronyms Question 23. The SOW indicates 292 workstations but the furniture list has only 272 peds indicated. The file specified as noted below from the Hon website is a freestanding file not a mobile file. The SOW indicates that you are looking for mobile files. Please confirm that you would like a mobile BBF in each workstation. 19720 Freestanding pedestal file standard height 19-7/8D x 15W x 28H $503 - $517 Ans: mobile Question 24. Can you please advise me if this is set aside for 8a? Ans: No, this open market Question 25. Where do I find the furniture specifications so my firm can bid? Ans: scope of work Question 26. We are new to FBO and are trying to navigate the site but cant see where to view the specs Ans: go www.fbo.gov and use the solicitation number W91247-10-T-0121 to search for it. There will be original synopsis and change, click on both and on each scroll down and click on additional information and it will take you to any attachment. Question 27. Are open market items acceptable or does everything need to on a GSA contract? Ans: This is open market Question 28. I have an additional question: In the 72 x 72 workstations, what size worksurface is required? Ans: 72x72 Question 29. Is there access to a floor plan for the cubicles & trailers? Electrical layout, Data lines and power pole placement is required for us to do an accurate bid proposal. Ans: I don't have anything Question 30. Is there a typical drawing of the workstation? Ans: no Question 31. I have a couple of questions about the Team Leader workstations. The scope of work states that each team leader station is to be 72 X 72, but it does not say what size L-desk should be in those 72 X 72 stations. Should the desk take up the entire workstation or are there going to be guest chairs in those workstations. Please advise. Ans: that is the size of the work station Question 32. Is the One HQ trailer that needs 11 72X72 workstations - also room # 360 that we were able to measure in what was called that day the Battalion Building? Ans: yes Question 33. Are their measurements for us anywhere for the large room that gets 32 cubicles - in what was referred to as the small trailer - since none of those were available to measure the day we were there? Ans: The small is 10 feet narrower then the medium Question 34. Are we allowed to fax just our layouts of the cubicles / drawings to you for approval (with no pricing) to make sure that we are pricing/quoting what it is that you want? Ans: yes if contracting allows. CLICK ON ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR DETAILS AND ALL ATTACHEMENTS.
