- The US Department of Interior, National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area intends to award a Non-Competitive 8(a) Contract Award for repair work Hawk Hill/Hill 129, Radar Platform A HARD COPY OF THIS RFQ IS NOT BEING ISSUED electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site as this is a notice of intent to make a Non-Competitive 8(a) award and not a request for Expression of Interest, Proposals or Quotations. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The anticipated work includes, but is not limited to the following:The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, parts, material, equipment and transportation to complete the following project work items: Replace damaged column 6WF 15.5 (See site photograph #1) and stage salvaged materials on site for pickup by NPS as directed by Project Manager. This work item is to be coordinated with work item #2. Shore platform to replace damaged column (See site photograph # 2) Replace/reinforce compromised beams, cross bracing connections, column base connections at footings and steel purlins (See site photographs # 3, 4 & 5) The Government reserves the right to award optional work items in full or as individual work items depending on priority and funding. The following work items reflected below are optional work items: Conduct General Scale/Rust Removal at all exposed structural steel components Treat Structural Steel with Rust Inhibitor Coating Miscellaneous Repair Work may be required under this project and is not limited to repair/reinforcement of structural items not accomplished by work done for item 3. Contract Drawings: Historical Architect's site photographs and original construction drawing (Sheet # 3, Drawing # 35-03-52, titled: "Nike-Hercules Improvement Kit Without Hipar"; Foundation Plans, Sections and Details; Dated Sep. 17, 1962). These are printed drawings that are very large and the National Park Services is unable to upload these drawings. This procurement is a competitive Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Small Business Size $33.5M M and Product Service Code (PSC) Z299. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and is considered most advantageous to the Government, technical factors and cost or price considered. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $15,000 and $30,000. In order to receive contract award, a vendor must be registered in the CCR system and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). To register in CCR and ORCA, go to http://www.bnp.gov.This announcement does not constitute the solicitation. We anticipate the solicitation will be posted on or before 07/28/2010.
