Description

The work includes the base bid to drill a test hole to 300 ft deep. The Government will test the water and if good water is found option bid item 2 for a 4 inch well shall be drilled and option bid item 3 for slab and pump constructed. If good water is not found down to 300 ft the contractor shall execute option bid item 1 and continue another 50 ft in depth and the Government will test for good water. If good water is not found the contractor will continue drilling another 50 ft followed by testing, this will continue until either good water is found or the contractor has drilled to 600 ft deep. Wherever good water is found a 4 inch well shall be drilled and the slab and pump installed. If good water is not found anywhere down to the 600 ft depth, the hole will be abandoned by filling with grout. The contractor will be given two days notice before drilling is to continue at each depth.
