THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. RECOVERY- Gifford Pinchot National Forest - Forest Bridge Design and Replacement For Information Only - Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price Contract, Lower Johnson Creek Bridge Renovation, in support of contract AG-0489-C-10-0291 (RECOVERY-Install Davis Creek & Remove Johnson Creek Bridge). RECOVERY TAS::12 1102::TAS RECOVERY-Lower Johnson Creek Bridge Repair & Renovation The U.S. Forest Service intends to negotiate and award a firm fixed price contract not to exceed $80,000.00 to Mohawk Metal, 3535 West 1st Ave, Eugene, OR 97402 for additional repair and renovation of the Lower Johnson Creek Bridge. This is not a request for competitive quotes and is published for the purpose of providing public notification. JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION (JOFOC) The justification is for repair and renovation of a Forest Service Bridge known as Lower Johnson Creek Bridge. Work is to be performed by the Mohawk Metal Co. Details of work are described in the JOFOC. Mohawk Metal is the only source because (1) they are a subsidiary of the original bridge manufacturer (Hamilton Bridge), utilizing the same equipment/resources and (2) their work will not nullify the original certification, whereas another bridge rehab company would nullify the original certification.
