- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, Network Acquisitions and Logistics anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract for Automatic Door Service Preventive Maintenance & Inspection For The VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Castle Point and FDR Montrose Campuses. The contractor shall furnish all material, labor, supervision, tools and equipment necessary to provide a full preventive maintenance program, including all inspections, adjustments, tests, troubleshooting, parts replacement and repairs necessary to keep the equipment in continuous use at their initial performance ability as originally specified by the equipment manufacturer, and as modified thereafter. All adjustments, repairs and modifications must be in strict compliance with regulatory agencies. Services shall be completed by component mechanics with documented qualifications, which should include training and experience on the specific type of equipment. All work performed shall be journeyman level in accordance with good commercial practice in the medical care industry. This is to be a 100 % VETERAN-OWNED BUSINESS (VOSB) SET-ASIDE. Offers from other than VOSB Concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238290. To be considered a small business under this NAICS code the SBA size standard must not exceed $14.0 Million. The Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation will be issued on or about August 25, 2010, with an on-site mandatory site visit on August 30, 2010 at 10:00am. All information for this solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Potential bidders MUST register at FedBizOpps www.fedbizopps.gov in order to receive notifications and/or changes to the solicitation. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information.
