- TIMBER STAND IMPROVEMENT PROJECT -- MOUTAIN HOME RANGER DISTRICT IN APPROXIMATELY 1 DAY, THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS COMMERCIAL SERVICE PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND PRINT. The solicitation is for precommercial tree thinning activities in the Rattlesnake area on Boise National Forest Land, Mountain Home Ranger District. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary on the areas specified. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic manner to assure services will be performed over the entire unit. Total project acres to be thinned is 1469 acres. This is for Item 1 - Base year 2010. Acreage to be thinned this year is 447 acres. This contract is a Performance Based, firm-fixed price contract. - Address: Brief Description of Location and Directions to site: Rattlesnake - T3N, R7E, Sec. 7-9, 15-22, 27-28 and T3N, R6E, Sec. 13 and 24. For Little Rattlesnake: From Mountain Home, travel North on State Highway 20 for approximately 15 miles before turning north west (left) onto Forest Road (FR) 131 (Prairie Turnoff / Cow Creek). Go for approximately 10 miles to FR 121. Turn left onto FR 121 and travel about 10 miles to the end of FR 121. Turn left onto FR 189 and go for approximately 3 miles until FR 213. Turn right onto FR 213 and go for approximately 12 miles until reaching the Corral Creek Trailhead. Rattlesnake and Long Gulch areas turn off FR213 before reaching the Corral Creek Trailhead, at 10.5 and 4 miles respectively.
