- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a Delivery Order under a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), Stratford, Connecticut. The Government is working toward demonstrating the value of guided rockets on the MH-60S aircraft. This is a Joint Capabilities Technology Demonstration (JCTD) named Medusa. This weapons system consists of a Low Cost Guided Imaging Rocket (LoGIR) and LoGIR Rocket Launcher (LRL). The anticipated order will be for the efforts needed to provide aircraft and system integration instrumentation, testing, evaluation and certification to support a military utility assessment.
