Description
U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Coastal Aircraft Parts LLC (CAGE: 4B4P1), 2999 NW 115th Terrace, Sunrise, Florida 33323 for the procurement of Thin Seat Back Cushion, Part Number 31H-60012-001. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. A sources sought notice was previously posted under this solicitation number for BRAND NAME OR EQUAL and to date no responses have been received therefore it has been determined it is in the best interests of the government to award based on sole source. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 5:30 pm EST, 30 August 2010. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB. Otherwise, responses must be submitted via hard copy to: US Army RDECOMCC, AMSRD-ACC-BB (Moyer), 4118 Susquehanna Ave., APG, MD 21005.
