- THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT AUGUST 30, 2010. This project encompasses the abandonment of existing water distribution systems and installation of new water lines and appurtenances located at Idlewild Campground on the Malheur National Forest in eastern Oregon. Idlewild Campground is located on the Emigrant Creek Ranger District in Harney County, approximately 20 miles north of Burns, Oregon. Work at the site shall include but not be limited to: Removal and disposal of existing waterlines, valves, and hydrants. Work shall also include excavation, trenching, backfill, compaction, finish grading, seeding, concrete, installation of approximately 2100 linear feet of high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) of various sizes, dry drain, hydrants, valves and boxes, and other appurtenances to create fully functioning systems at this site. This project is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000.
