- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following: CLIN 0001 - Quantity of three SYN5800 RF Synthesizer Modules, Part Number 822-2097-001 (part of the RC-5800) and CLIN 0002 - Quantity of three DCV5800 RF Downconverter Modules, Part Number 822-2098-001 (part of the RC-5800). These items are solely manufactured by Rockwell Collins of 3200 East Renner Road, Richardson, Texas 75082. The Government requires the above brand name equipment for compatibility and interoperability purposes with the current platform. Market research for this requirement has been performed and no other replacement products have been approved as suitable alternatives. A firm fixed priced contract is anticipated. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Combat Direction Systems Activity Dam Neck. Inspection and acceptance will be at Destination by Combat Direction Systems Activity Dam Neck personnel. This requirement shall be awarded in accordance with FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation number is N00178-10-R-1070. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, this synopsis and any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/SUPPLY. DoD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database.
