- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for 4 coated infrared Fabry-Perot etalons and 8mounting rings that will be used for the construction of zodiacal light spectrometer. Therequirement is as follows:Model/Description Qty Silicon etalon, 100 mm diameter, 75 mm clear 1aperture, 230 m thick, TTV <10 nm over clearaperture Silicon etalon, 100 mm diameter, 75 mm clear 1aperture, 270 m thick, TTV <10 nm over clearapertureSilicon etalon, 100 mm diameter, 75 mm clear 1aperture, 370 m thick, TTV <10 nm over clearapertureSilicon etalon, 100 mm diameter, 75 mm clear 1aperture, 440 m thick, TTV <10 nm over clearapertureEtalon mounting ring, silicon, 4' OD 8Etalon coating, 1.18-1.75 m, 85%R 2Etalon coating, 1.5-2.3 m, 85%R 2NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Light Machinery pursuant to FAR 13.106, forthe acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from onlyone source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 2:30PM EST on datelisted above. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
