- Synopsis PM Station Main Switch Gear Building 1, 14, 42 and 44 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND TESTING for Government owned Main Switch gear located at the VA Medical Center, 500 Foothill Blvd., Salt Lake City, Utah 84148. This service will include all parts, labor, materials, and all other associated costs needed to do complete preventive maintenance, testing and adjustments to the V.A. Substation. Work will be accomplished on Friday Night or Saturday. Contractor shall inspect and test the equipment, as required in accordance with manufacturer, industry, National Electrical Testing Association, and statutory requirements, in order to prevent premature equipment failures and to extend equipment life. PROVIDE PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICE FOR SQUARE D 12.47KV SWITCHGEAR TO INCLUNDE: CLEANING CONNTACTS/CABINETS/SWITHS, TIGHTEN ALL CONNECTIONS, LUBRICATION WHERE NEEDED. TEST BREAKERS FOR TRIP SETTING AND ADJUST AS NEEDED. TEST AND SET BREAKER HIGHPOT. TEST RELAYS, CALIBRATE ALL INSTRUMENTS-RELAYS AND ADJUSTMENT AS NEEDED. SWITCH GEAR FACTORY ORD. # 17-90239F, 12.47 KV, 1200 AMPS. Work will include one base year from date of award through September 30, 2011 with 4 one year options to extend the contract.
