- This is a Notice of Intent to issue a sole source purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for an x-ray tube to include installation. This is a follow-on acquisition and due to the unique nature of the item only one authorized area supplier, National X-ray Corporation, Flowery Branch, GA, is capable of supplying this requirement. The original unit was manufactured and is solely supported by this supplier. Any purchase order will be awarded under other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements for this item. The point of contact is Mr. Kent W.
