- SFSIAQ10R0043_ Switcher\Solicitation The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) is the Federal Government's primary training institution for officers and support personnel of the U.S. foreign affairs community, preparing American diplomats and other professionals to advance U.S. foreign affairs interests overseas and in Washington. At the George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center, the FSI provides more than 450 courses, including some 70 foreign languages, to more than 50,000 enrollees a year from the State Department and more than 40 other government agencies and the military service branches. The NFATC utilizes a streaming video network system to distribute cable TV to over 300 endpoints on campus. The video sources for this system include satellite receivers, ATSC tuners and locally generated video content. The current analog audio/ video switcher is an end of life 64X64 Sierra video switcher with stereo audio. The NFATC seeks to replace this EOL video switcher with a vendor provided Extron MAV Plus 6464 AV - 64x64 Composite Video & Stereo Audio switcher.
