- Western Area Power Administration intents to negotiate and awardunder theFederal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12 and 13, SimplifiedAcquisitions Procedures, on a sole source basis with GE Energy ManagementSystems, Melbourne, Florida, for hardware maintenance and support on IBMHardware. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) forthisis 541511 and the business size standard is $25 million. This notice isnot arequest for quote/proposals. However, all interested parties may identifytheir interest and capabilities by emailing the Contracting Officer,FrancesGutierrez at gutierre@wapa.gov or by faxing 970 461-7377, no later thanAugust26, 2010. Any information received will be considered solely for thepurpose ofdetermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Informationhoursare 7:00am to 3:30pm MST, Monday through Friday.
