- Sources Sought for Layered Sensing Wireless Data Links Layered Sensing Wireless Data Links Request for Information The Air Force Research Laboratory seeks information regarding industry's capability to provide systems engineering, integration engineering, field service engineering, and flight test engineering for the Theater Airborne Reconnaissance System (TARS) and IRON-T2 systems as the data link segments of multiple layered sensing systems, and to evaluate performance, troubleshoot, develop system enhancements, provide upgrades, and provide maintenance of the data link segment. This notice is not to be construed as any type of request for proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subpart 31.205-18, Independent Research and Development and Bid and Proposal Costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Any responses received will be treated as information only, and will not be used as a proposal.
