Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, intends to procure the A/M32K-10 Munitions Trailer, Stake Rack Set and Electrical test Sets in addition to the design, development, and manufacture of the A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer. The A/M32K-10 Munitions Trailer is used at US Marine Corps (USMC) intermediate maintenance activities to transport air launched weapons from a storage site to the aircraft flight line, as part of the ground support equipment for the USMC expeditionary airfields. The A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer is used at USMC intermediate maintenance activities to support the A/E32K-3 and A/M32K-11 Munitions Assembly Stand for weapons build up, the A/E37T-35A Common Rack and Launcher Test Set, and A/N/GYQ-79 Common Munitions BIT Reprogramming Equipment as part of the ground support equipment for the USMC expeditionary airfields. The Government intends to award a Fixed-Price contract consisting of a one (1) year base with four (4) option periods. The required basic quantity of the A/M32K-10 Munitions Trailer is two (2) Pilot Production Units and four (4) option periods of up to 200 additional Production Units per period. The required basic quantity of the A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer is two (2) Pilot Production Units and four (4) option periods of up to 10 additional Production Units per period. This procurement will include logistics and technical data requirements. The A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer will be based on the A/M32K-10 Munitions Trailer, which is the baseline configuration for the A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer platform. This procurement is 100% HUBZONE SET-ASIDE. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Business Opportunities" and then "Open Solicitations." Look for amendments to the solicitation on the NAVAIR webpage as well. The solicitation will be posted on the webpage on or about 15 September 2010. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The applicable requirements documents will not be made available until after release of the solicitation. The Government will not accept proposals that are submitted via facsimile or electronically via e-mail.
