- The National Park Service (NPS) will issue a prospectus soliciting proposals for a five year contract for food services carts within Pennsylvania Avenue National Historic Site on August 23, 2010. The prospectus will explain the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51 has determined that the existing concessioner, Than Van Vo and Hung Thi Nguyen, is a preferred offeror for this contract. Any offer, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Business Services Program Manager, NPS, National Capital Region Office of Business Services Room 236 1100 Ohio Drive, S.W. Washington, DC 20242 no later than sixty seven days (67) after the release of the prospectus in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide these services within Pennsylvania Avenue National Historic Site. The prospectus will be issued on August 23, 2010, for a 67-day response period under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due at the National Capital Region Office of Business Services Room 236 1100 Ohio Drive, S.W. Washington, DC 20242 by October 29, 2010 no later than 4:00 p.m. The prospectus and a synopsis of the business opportunity will be available on the National Park Service Concessions website at http://www.concessions.nps.gov/prospectuses.htm. Hardcopies are available upon request for a printing cost recovery charge. The fee is $30 per copy if picked up from the National Capital Regional Office in person and $35 per copy if mailed. To request a copy, provide a check or money order made payable to the National Park Service (Cash remittance is not accepted). A Tax Identification Number (TIN) or Social Security Number (SSN) is required on all checks and money orders. For mail requests include a street address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express delivery. The same information will also be posted to the above mentioned website. A site tour is scheduled for September 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government.
