- Description
- This is a notice of the Government's intent to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Roush Industries, Inc., 12445 Levan Road, Livonia, MI, 48150-1405 for a Ground Acoustics Impedance Measurement System, quantity 1 each. The contract type anticipated is a Firm-Fixed type contract with an anticipated award date of 16 September 2010. This requirement is to provide a system that will measure jet noise that reflects and is absorbed by the ground to further study the effect of the ground on sound propagation at various incidence angles. Roush Industries is the sole developer of a complete turn key measurement system capable of performing ground impedance measurements that conform to the procedure outlined in ANSI S1.18 and the Cepstrum ground impedance measurement method. This requirement is being procured under PSC 6695 and NAICS 334519 with a size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency's requirement. See Note 22. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 2:00PM EST 3 September 2010. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
