- Recovery Action - This modification is issued to obligate American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act) of 2009 funds to the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for research and development into deploying a demonstration prototype national network with 100 Gbps capabilities as well as conducting research and development on an advanced network testbed facility. The contract is a cost reimbursement contract because of the uncertainties of the research mission of the laboratory makes it impossible to estimate with reasonable accuracy the costs of performance making the firm, fixed price contract type inappropriate.
