Description
Description: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION, GSA FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE 66 - Scientific Equipment and Services. The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD has a requirement for one (1) SW-32 Ti Rotor. The contractor will be required to furnish all the necessary equipment and standard warranty. The contractor will quote on inside delivery one (1) SW-32 Ti Rotor to the NIH/NIAID. Specifications for the Rotor are as follows: 1) the maximum speed - 32 000 rpm; 2) the density rating will be at maximum speed - 1.2 g/mL; 3) the rotor will have swinging bucket rotors designed to centrifuge up to six tubes each; 4) The motor will be capable to force the separation of sub-cellular particles and viruses in density gradients; 5) the bucket and rotor body positions are Numbered; 6) the rotor body and buckets are made of titanium, finished with polyurethane paint; 7) Bucket caps are made of aluminum, anodized for corrosion resistance; 8) each bucket and cap assembly sets into grooves in the rotor body: 9) O-rings will be made of Buna N rubber, between each bucket and bucket cap to maintain atmospheric pressure; 10) The rotor will have been manufactured in a registered ISO 9001. Capability statement must reference similar requirement, similar work that has been performed by the offeror and the dollar value of that work. Potential offerors must indicate business size in their capability statement. Delivery will start 30 days after receipt of award. Contact the laboratory for further delivery instructions. Award will be based on: 1) Technical capabilities to meet the required specifications 2) Delivery 3) Installation, 4) Warranty and 5) Price. Warranty information to include period and coverage, shall be stated. This procurement will be firm-fixed price and will be competed under pre-existing Multiple Award Federal Supply Schedule contracts. A competitive solicitation (RFQ) will be issued via GSA eBuy. This will be funded in whole by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
