Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Portland, Oregon has a requirement to purchase, remove, install and dispose of heating and cooling system. Pricing shall include install, remove and delivery (FOB Destination) to the Spring Creek National Fish Hatchery, 61552 S.R. 14, Underwood, Washington. General:The heating and cooling system in each of the four government quarters is more than 35 years old and operational efficiency is poor. These government quarters house station employees and their families that are required to live on station as part of their job. This equipment is worn, operates inefficiently requiring an increasing amount of maintenance and repair parts have become difficult to attain. The project would remove and replace the current systems in all four quarters with new more energy efficient units. Scope:Remove existing furnace/heat pumps with proper disposal according to f.P.A. requirements. Install new energy efficient air heal pumps rated at 15 S.E.E.R., 15 K.W. variable speed electric furnaces and 240 vac condensate pumps. All piping will be 100% copper dehydrated refrigerant using environmentally friendly Freon (R-410A) Contractor will be responsible for all electrieal, pennits and inspections necessary to complete this project and also for e1ean-up and disposal of all materials and supplies. The contractor will test run the system and program the cxisting thermostat to opcrate with in the specifieations provided by the Project leader. Place/Delivery and Period of Performance:Project is locatcd at the Spring Creek NFH -61552 SR 14 Underwood, WA 98651. Contractor would be expected cleanup any debris from the work site. The project would be expected to be completed by September 30, 2009.------------------- Basis for award will be best value.
