- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center intends to negotiate a purchase order on a sole source basis to Greeneridge Sciences, Inc of Santa Barbara, CA for two (2) each Acousonde acoustic recorders with 187dB low-pressure hydrophone and 2000-m pressure transducer. This procurement will also include two (2) each High frequency hydrophones and two (2) each 32 GB total capacity. This requirement is being issued on a sole source basis as only Greeneridge Sciences, has the ability to provide this acoustic reader with the necessary duration requirements and high frequency capability (72 hours at 9kHz sample rate Operational depth capability 2000m), and required measurements (22cm L x 3cm Dia, 86g weight in seawater)for orientation tracking. Additional requirements include temperature, depth, and 3-axis tilt & compass. Due to the expertise, knowledge, and familiarly with this product, it has been determined that only Greenridge Sciences can produce this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received within ten days (small purchase procedures are being used) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
