- The VA Network 22 Logistic Office intends to enter into sole source procurement with Elsevier Inc.. This proposed contract action is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to maintain the integrity of the research data. This procurement covers the costs of services provided by Elsevier, Inc., the publisher of Women's Health Issues (WHI) to publish a supplement issue of the journal that is being developed by this research team, provide 1000 extra copies to the VA, and to provide free, on-line access to the supplement. The contract is for $50,550 and will cover services to support the VA Women's Health Research Consortium/Practice-Based Research Network (Project SDR 10-012). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely by the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
