At this time; the Theater Contracting Center seeks BERRY AMENDMENT COMPLIANT vendors to perform occupational clothing leasing services, in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement, in the Kaiserslautern area; however, future requirements are not known and could extend throughout Germany. The Theater Contracting Center is aware of commercial sources that are capable of leasing and laundering occupational clothing in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement; however, the US Government is bound by the Berry Amendment, in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 252.225-7002, which states, the US Government MUST NOT procure (to include leasing), Any of the following items, either as end products or components, unless the items have been grown, reprocessed, reused, or produced in the United States: Clothing and the materials and components thereof, other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with, clothing and the materials and components thereof. For this reason, the Theater Contracting Center is looking for industry sources capable of leasing occupational clothing that was grown, reprocessed, reused, or produced in the United States to the US Government in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement at possible locations throughout Germany.
