- THIS IS A NON-COMPETITIVE NOTICE. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole/single source, non-competitive notice is prepared in accordance with FAR Parts 5 and 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. FAR Part 6 - Competition Requirements, is not applicable to contracts awarded using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13, not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. This announcement constitutes the only notice; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The resultant acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13, simplified acquisition procedures and the resultant purchase order will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43. The proposed performance period is September 30, 2010 - September 29, 2011. The total estimated amount of this purchase order will not exceed $100,000. The North American Classification System NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 541519 and the associated small business size standard is $18M. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has a requirement for the renewal of their Symantec Netbackup software licenses in addition to services provided by a Technical Support Partner Program (TSPP). DLT Solutions is the only entity authorized by Symantec to provide the Symantec Technical Support Partner Program (TSPP) support via the DLT Technical Service Center (DLT Branded Support) in North America. Additionally DLT is the only Symantec public sector partner authorized by Symantec to offer Symantec TSPP program support to the federal public sector. DLT Solutions is the sole provider of DLT Branded support (which is a 24X7X365 US Soil Based Authorized Symantec support offering via US Citizens). Award to another source is not feasible or practical for the Government's needs. Market Research conducted by the Government in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 10, Market Research, has determined that the sole/single source reference, is currently the only company that can provide the services specified herein. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
