- RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS IS PROVIDED. QUESTION 1Do you know or can you find out if an asbestos survey has been done or will be done prior to the site visit scheduled for Friday the 27th of August? RESPONSE:207-Auditorium burned down for your information, only have two buildings containing environmental hazardous materials -201 and 207. To request a copy of the Environmental Assessment Report, send request by e-mail to: paul.robinson@bia.gov. QUESTION 2Does this project have a hazardous materials survey? If so, will it be released prior to the site visit next Friday, 8/27/10? Can I get a copy of it? RESPONSE:See Response to Item 1 above. QUESTION 3Is the intent of this IFB to abate the asbestos containing materials and then to perform demolition or to demolish the buildings with the asbestos containing materials in place? I don't see a copy of the asbestos survey in the bid documents. RESPONSE:Please reference SECTION C, Statement of Work, "Disposal of Demolished Materials", second paragraph, which reads: "Only hazardous materials including asbestos and lead paint, if any, shall be removed from these buildings and disposed of in compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and ordinances. The contractor shall determine if hazardous materials are contained in the buildings based on site inspection and the environmental site assessment report available upon request."
