- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, GA, VISN 7 contemplates negotiation of an sole source procurement with Motorola, Inc., 7031 Columbia Gateway Dr.3rd FL, Columbia, MD 21046-2583 for emergency systems repair for Motorola Two-Way Communications Infrastructure Systems and Life Support Ambulance Two-Way Communication Systems located at the VA Medical Center, Augusta, 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904. All work must be performed by authorized Motorola dealers and are Premier Service Partners. The period of performance for this procurement will be 1 October 2010 through 30 September 2011, with four (1) one year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334220 with a size standard of 750 employees. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)and(B), only one responsible source. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents will be issued. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer no later than August 24, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. local time. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
