Description
Bill of Materials Sources Sought Synopsis for BRAC and Non-BRAC Nortel (Avaya) VoIP Telephones and Supplies BRAC and non-BRAC-Nortel (Avaya) VoIP- Telephones and Supplies PURPOSE: Sources Sought for Market Research - A solicitation has not been issued for this requirement. NAICS CODE: 334210 SIZE STANDARD: 1000 Employees BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF REQUIREMENT: The Air Force Material Command (AFMC) 88 Comm Group (88CG) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) has a requirement for Nortel (Avaya) Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephones and associated power supplies and cables in support of the upgrade of WPAFB's Nortel (Avaya) CS 2100 telephone switch to version SE9.1. The upgraded, proprietary switch software will operate only with Nortel (Avaya) telephone instruments. The WPAFB telephone switch located in Bldg 10266 is currently being upgraded to vSE9.1 (via the AF Voice Systems item manager at Hill AFB) to meet BRAC and VoIP transition plans. The Nortel (Avaya) series 2000 VoIP telephones currently in use with the existing telephone switching system (CS 2100 vSE8.0) are manufacturer discontinued and can no longer be procured, so a newer phone must be acquired to support additional users. Nortel (Avaya) series 1100 VoIP telephones are the only type of VoIP phone that will operate with the CS 2100 SE9.1 telephone switch. The purchase of this type of phone will ensure that VoIP telephone services can continue to be provided after the upgrade of the switch.
