Description
The USDA Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, intends to acquire by contract improvements to the water system located at the La Wis Wis Campground. The project includes removal of an existing 7,000 gallon wooden tank with footings and the installation of a new 7500 gallon steel tank and concrete pad, as well as associated plumbing. This project is located in the La Wis Wis campground 7 miles East of, Packwood, WA 98361 on the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, 46° 40' 28" N Latitude 121° 34' 44" W Longitude. It may be reached by traveling East on U.S. Highway 12 towards Yakima from I-5. The estimated cost of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A solicitation for this project work, following the procedures of FAR Part 13 for Simplified Acquisition, will be made available on this web site on or about September 3, 2010. The anticipated period for performance will be 60 days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated to be issued on or about September 27, 2010. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for SBA Certified HUBZone concerns. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 237110 with a applicable size standard of $33.5 million. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, past performance and other factors. A single contract will be awarded to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
