- Symantec Limited Source Justification Symantec Requirements List This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Only Symantec Authorized resellers may submit quotes. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00421-10-T-0293 and is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ). Quotes will be evaluated by Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. The requirement is not set aside for small businesses and will be using full and open competition. The NAICS code is 511210 and the size standard is $25M. The Information Technology/Information Mangement Customer Services Operation Division (NAWCAD 7.2.4) at Patuxent River, MD, has a requirement for replacement of the existing Symantec VERITAS NetBackup Enterprise software system presently in use with the newer Version 6.5 or higher. Period of performance will be from date of award until 30 September 2010. FOB Destination is anticipated. This procurement is for Symantec Software Products, see attached "Symantec Requirements List" for detail quantities and serial numbers to be quoted. Limited Source Justification "LSJ Symantec" is also attached. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions of Offerors-Commercial 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items. Quotes will be evaluated by Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) 52.213-3 Alt. 1-Offeror Representations adn Certifications-Commerical Items. The offeror shall included a completed copy of the provision with their offer. The following clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items 52.232-18 Availability of Funds 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contract Registration The following DFAR clauses apply to this acquisition: DFARS 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
