- Description
- In accordance with 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(2) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible source," the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) anticipates awarding Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGC) a Cost Plus Award Fee modification to contract N00019-08-C-0023 for the procurement of Air-to-Air Radar Subsystem (AARSS) Guard Channel hardware and software provisions in the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Unmanned Air System (UAS). NGC is the sole designer and integrator of the BAMS UAS. Accordingly, it is the only contractor with the requisite design technical knowledge and expertise, special test equipment, tooling, and facilities to successfully provide the requisite BAM UAS AARSS modifications within the program's cost and schedule constraints. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) GENERAL INFORMATION: NGC is the only known source available with the requisite equipment, personnel, and technical knowledge to satisfy the Government's requirement within the required time frame. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. Numbered note 22 applies.
