- The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (The Kennedy Center) is a living presidential memorial mandated by Congress to present and produce the finest performing arts from this country and abroad. It is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, but because the Center is a national memorial, it receives federal funds for building maintenance and operations. The largest cultural facility of its kind, it consists of 1.5 million square feet situated on 17 acres. It houses six theaters of varying sizes, two restaurants, administrative offices and parking garages. It attracts over four (4) million visitors each year with performances and other special events offered 365 days of the year. The JFKC Facilities Division is responsible for the maintenance of two (2) Cleaver Brooks Gas-Fired Boilers and Associated Equipment. The boilers were installed in 2002 and have been serviced and maintained by certified vendors. One of the major repairs includes the re-tubing of the number one boiler in approximately the 2003/2004 time period. The purpose of this solicitation is to award a base period plus four (4) 12-month option years for a contractor to perform monthly maintenance services, annual preventive maintenance repair services and 24-hour emergency service for the two (2) Cleaver Brooks Gas-Fired Boilers and Associated Equipment at the John F. Kenney Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, DC as described below. Please the solicitation document for details. THIS SOLICITATION IS REPLACES THE CANCELED RFP#JFK10R00007. OFFERORS MUST SUBMIT NEW A PROPOSAL IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS EFFORT. All questions must be submitted in writing by no later than close of business Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
