- 1. The Department of the Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington plans to issue a Solicitation for Courier Services for Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC). A complete Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be included in the solicitation. The Request for Proposals (RFP) number is W911S8-10-R-0023. 2. The solicitation will result in a contract being issued to one individual contractor. The resulting contract will be a Firm-Fixed-Price Requirements contract and will consist of one (1)- base period, with four (4) one (1)-year option periods. This contract will be subject to the Service Contract Act, the place of performance is the greater metropolitan areas of Olympia, Tacoma, and Seattle, Washington. The applicable NAICS code is 492110 Courier services the small business size standard is 1500 employees. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. 3. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be provided in an electronic format via the FedBizOpps website, https://www.fbo.gov/ and the solicitation will also be posted on the Joint Base Lewis-McChord, MICC Directorate of Contracting website, http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc/, under Solicitations. The tentative solicitation issue date is 25 August 2010 and the anticipated closing date is 01 September 2010. Interested offerors are advised to consult the actual solicitation for final dates and times. 4. Offers from all capable and responsible small business sources will be considered. Firms offering a response to this notice must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database http://www.ccr.gov/ and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) https://orca.bpn.gov/. Offeror must ensure that the applicable NAICS code 492110 is included in the CCR profile prior to submission of proposals. Any proposal submitted by a business that is not classified as a small business will not be evaluated. 5.
