- The U.S. Forest Service has a requirement for the construction or repair of six stock water reservoirs using standard specifications on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, La Grande Ranger District. The six sites are located in the Starkey, Oregon area approximately 30 miles from La Grande, Oregon. Work at four sites shall include excavation, dam construction (not to exceed 10 feet or 9.2 acre-feet in size) and overflow channel construction. Work at one site shall include dam repair and sediment removal and stockpiling on-site. And another site includes shallow ditch construction, 4-inch perforated collection pipe installation, 10 yards of drainage aggregate, installation of an 18-inch culvert, leveling of an existing stock trough pad, reservoir excavation, dam construction and overflow channel construction. All pipes shall be supplied by the government. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated requiring submission of both a technical (questionnaire) and price quote. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. The magnitude of the government estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance and payment bonds will be required after award if quotes are over $30,000.
