- Radar Target Generator RTG698 (L/S) Band This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. HILL AFB intends to purchase a Radar Target Generator (RTG698) from Inventive Electronics Inc. The RTG698 (L/S Band) device is a unique item part and is the only item that is compatible to our existing RASS-S System. Bids for equivalence will not be accepted. The RTG698 is the key element to provide a true and correct primary radar environment simulation. For primary radar purposes is basically designed to generate primary radar returns. The RTG698 detects and preserves the radar pulse, applies a fixed and highly precise delay and retransmits the pulse with the appropriate power, pulse-shape, frequency and Doppler shift.
