- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, intends to acquire by contract the reconstruction of existing wire mesh fence at the Coyote seed orchard and the Planting Creek seed orchard. The project work covers approximately 9,310 feet of wildlife barrier fence and includes reconstructing existing and adding new stress panels, removal and replacement of gates, woven wire patching, and other items as described. This project is located on the Mt. Adams Ranger District of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, approximately 10 miles west of Trout Lake, WA. The legal location is Section 28, T. 6N., R. 9E., W.M. The estimated cost of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A solicitation for this project work, following the procedures of FAR Part 13 for Simplified Acquisition, will be made available on this web site on or about August 31, 2010. The anticipated period for performance will be 45 days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated to be issued on or about September 27, 2010. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for Emerging Small Businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238990 with a applicable size standard of $14.0 million. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, past performance and other factors. A single contract will be awarded to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
