- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERANS OWNED SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAM FOR CONSTRUCTION NAICS CODE 236220. The Department of Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105 anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Upgrade Registration." The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (Sealed Bidding) and Part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform all work under this project which consists of: This project will include all labor and materials to complete all work for upgrading the VA Ann Arbor Medical Center's registration area. Scope of Work: "Relocate existing information desk as specified "Cap electrical outlets existing under information desk "Build out new electrical and tele/data wiring for new position of information desk through the floor as existing set up was. "Build out beneficiary travel desk, per drawing details "Removal/demolition of existing bathroom and utilities "Relocate Q-matic display boards as specified. "Procure additional Q-matic display boards "Carpet entire beneficiary travel suite where bathroom is removed "Carpet travel coordinator office "Carpet and prep flooring for pharmacy waiting, currently porcelain custom tiles "Contractor is to replace three existing can lights in agent cashier hallway with new 2x2 lights. Contractor shall also replace existing 2x4 ceiling tile in bathroom to be demolished and replace to match existing 2x2 tile. Contractor shall replace existing 4x1 fluorescent light with new 2x2 light. "Security glass must be approved by resident engineer "Beneficiary travel wall must be secured to VA standard. The period of performance is 90 calendar days for the entire project. The cost range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about March 26, 2010. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of the solicitation. Only one site visit will be conducted. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidder list is maintained by the Contracting Office. All potential bidders should register on this website as interested vendors.
