- Description
- Questions and Clarifications There have been several questions and some items need clarification. In fairness to all interested parties, the following is provided: 1.The drawings are available for download from the original synopsis/solicitation. 2.The first modification simply changed the closing of the combined synopsis/solicitation from a Sunday ending day to a Monday ending day. 3.Question: We have the capabilities for development of this type of system. a.Response: sounds like he's custom building something from scratch, even if he's using available components. I was looking for something that's essentially off the shelf. If I wanted to start a development project, I would have done a services contract. 4.Question: There was an inquiry about having a site visit. a.Response: A site visit schedule would most likely delay the award so, the requestor will take pictures which will be posted when available. 5.Question: Section 2.2 states that cost shall not exceed $15,000 in a production run of 100 150 systems, which seems to be missing some punctuation. Please clarify the quantity - is it a range of one-hundred to one-hundred fifty systems, or one-hundred thousand one-hundred fifty systems? I suspect the former, but it's not clear. a.Response: 100-150 systems 6.Question: Section 2.6 states that the system shall be lightweight with a maximum component weight of 50 2 lbs per jack. Please confirm that the maximum weight is fifty-point-two (50.2) lbs per jack. a.Response: 50 2 lbs per jack 7.Question: Section 5.1 and 6.1.1 indicate base performance of two systems and optional quantities of 5-50. Do you want Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) broken out separate from hardware pricing or would you prefer that NRE is amortized over the first two units? a.Response: This evaluation will be conducted with the total price. Separated would be preferred so as to enable us to see the cost of ongoing systems.
