- Description
- This is a combined/solicitation Notice of Intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NOI10136 and the solicitation is being issued as a Notice of Intent. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-43). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) intend to procure from BD Bioscience for two (2) Aria II Special Order Detectors. The Detector is an upgrade for a existing instrument, BD FACS Aria, S/N PO6950062 and P7900144 already in the lab. No other manufacture can supply and support this upgrade since it interfaces with integral components of the instrument. BD will only warranty parts/upgrades purchased from BD so therefore IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN OUR MAINTENANCE CONTRACT ALL PARTS AND SUPPLIES ARE REQUIRED TO BE PROCURED FROM BD BIOSCIENCE. The North American Industry Classification System (NIACS) Code for this acquisition is 334516, and the small-business size standard is 500 employees. This is a firm fixed-price contract and the FOB terms are "Destination" and Net 30.
