- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Advance Occupational Education Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution, Englewood, Colorado. The successful contractor shall provide on-site academic instruction. The contractor shall be accredited by a nationally recognized accreditation program such as the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, or an official State agency. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year are estimated at 20 student per course. Each course worth 3 credit hours. An estimated six certificate courses per year. Therefore a total of 360 credit hours per year. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year are estimated at 360 credit hours per year respectively. A session is defined as one (1) credit hour. Each class will contain approximately 20 students. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding an indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of effective date of award through 12 months from the effective date of award with four 12 month option years for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about August 23, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 23, 2010. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 611110. The solicitation is unrestricted. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
