- RFQ NMFS AKR-SMM-10-0817 to obtain and use seabird avoidance gear that is known to work effectively at preventing seabirds from accessing baited hooks on longline gear per the attached RFQ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation to obtain and use seabird avoidance gear that is known to work effectively at preventing seabirds from accessing baited hooks on longline gear per the attached request for quotes RFQ NMFS AKR-SMM-10-0817 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. This procurement is subject to full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541620. This is a simplified acquisition estimated value not to exceed $100,000.00. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Alaska Region requires Contractor to obtain and use seabird avoidance gear that is known to work effectively at preventing seabirds from accessing baited hooks on longline gear from time of award date; September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2011 with option years to extend the award through August 31, 2015 per the attached RFQ NOAA NMFS Alaska Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
