- Sole Source Intent. The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center Yuma, Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Leica Geosystems Acquisition, Inc. located at 2942 Century Place, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. This requirement will be for a quantity of two (2) upgrades to existing Geodetic Global Navigation Satellite Systems currently in use at USAYPG. All aspects of the upgrades must be interchangeable with existing hardware, firmware and software. Leica Geosystems Acquisition Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the existing system, and owns all data rights to the technology associated with this requirement. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334220 with a standard size of 750 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability provide this service, interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability of meeting the Governments requirement by 23 August 2010 9:00 AM MST.
