Description

The solicitation is hereby amended to address the following vendor questions and answers and to extend the due date for quotes as follows: 1. Questions: 1.1 Question: The solicitation mentions nothing about the type of sample characteristics and test required. This information is important to determine the software required and the sample jigs that may be necessary to attach samples to the test machine. What is NIST's requirement? Answer: Pull tests will typically be performed on micro-chevron samples to measure wafer bond strength; therefore, software that can plot the force applied as a function of displacement shall be required. The standard tensile grips that shall be supplied with the system will suffice as they will be customized in the future. 1.2 Question: How does NIST define and calculate specification No. 5 "test speed accuracy of 0.01%"? Answer: If the speed with which the sample grips separate is set to 1 mm/sec, then the speed is expected to actually be 1 mm/sec +/- 0.01% or 1mm/sec +/-0.1um. 2. The due date for quotes has been extended as follows: From: August 16, 2010 @ 3 pm EST To: August 18, 2010 @ 3pm EST
