Drawing 3 Drawing 2 Drawing 1 Solicitation Solicitation/Synopsis Combined solicitation/synopsis: This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors who were awarded contracts against solicitation L09PS00981, Hazardous Fuels Reduction IDIQ. Firms may quote only for line items of work which were awarded. Quotes cannot exceed the maximum price. Goal: The goal for this treatment is to treat all acres and reduce presence of pinyon/ juniper and late seral shrub species, while maintaining/increasing shrub and grass species structure and age class diversity. Desired Mosaic: The overall mosaic is a mix of shrub/grass with little juniper and late seral shrub species, resulting in the retention of 80-85% of the area in the early, seral grass/forb/shrub. The specifications of this project are to treat all of the juniper trees (juniper cover should be limited to up to 1% of the project area) and treat 40 to 50% of the service berry population. A bobcat mounted bullhog (masticator) shall be used to implement the treatment. During the treatment process the mastication head shall not get closer than 2 inches to the ground in an effort to mitigate impacts to the soil. Contractor shall ensure that all juniper limbs attached to the root system of the tree are treated. Location and Description of the Project Area:
