- This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1701290 and solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a small business set-aside. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. Delivery and acceptance will be at Bethesda, Maryland. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) have a requirement for an IX71 Frame Microscope and Accessories. The system has the following requirements: 1) Transmitted Light, 2)12V/100W Halogen Lamphouse, 3) Extension Cable for the Halogen Lamphouse, 4) 12V/100W Power Supply, 5) Bionic Observation Tube, 6) Cross Stage with Flexible Right Handie, 7) Long WD Phase Condenser, 8) Phase Annulus for 10X/20X, 9) U Plan Fluorite 4x Objective, 10) U Plan Fl 10X Phase, 11) LWD U Plan Fl Ph 2, 12) Fluorescence Illumina or for IX2 Straight, 13) 100W Mercury w/Collector Center Mirror, 14) Power Supply for 100W HG Lamphouse, 15) Cube Endow GFP SS Emission, 16) Cube Tritc (Rhodamine with Narrow Band Ex Filter), 17) Mount Camera adapter for BX/IX2, 18) Laser Port Type B for IX2, 19) 100W Halogen Bulb, 20) Mercury Burner, 21) 10X Eyepiece for BX, 22) US Style 3-Prong Power Cord and 23) Empty Tube for IX2. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, is applies to this acquisition. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items is applicable. Specific evaluation criteria: (1) Ability to meet technical specification, and (2) Ability to deliver on time and within specification. Offers will also be evaluated on best value in relation to price. Offer or must included a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The quotations are due August 26, 2010 3:00PM EST and will be submitted hard copy or electronically to Jasmine Snoddy, Contract Specialist, 31 Center Drive, Room 1B59, Bethesda, Maryland.
