- Description
- The requirements for Full Rate Production (FRP) of the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) program include, but are not limited to: end-item production, spare and repair parts, testing, New Equipment Training (NET), and maintenance of logistical and technical documentation. Optional requirements include refurbishment, retrofit, and Engineering Support in Production (ESIP) to incorporate new technologies. The ESIP efforts include a full range of contractor services such as design, engineering, logistics documentation (technical manual changes, training package changes and provisioning changes), technical documentation (drawings [interface and product], special packaging instructions, performance specifications, and software documentation), and testing efforts associated with the ESIP. This FRP contract covers known and anticipated production quantities of systems and associated program requirements for these production systems. This contract effort is to provide production deliveries so continuous fielding of the system can be achieved. The contract has a base period running from contract award through 30 September 2014 with two one-year options. The estimated maximum contract value is $253,462,518. Delivery Order 0001 was awarded concurrently with the basic contract at a value of $30,016,714.70.
